Touching to the roof-top of Indochina – Fansipan

What is Fansipan?

Fansipan is the highest peak of Hoang Lien Son range. This is the place which any risk taker want to challenge it by yourself. To reach the top of Fansipan, most of people will spent 2-3 days by foot. The height of it is 3143m. In the past, you spent lots of effort and good health to reach Fansipan but now, you can touch the top by Cable car. However, this post is a trekking tour help people to reach the Fansipan peak without a cable car.

Moving to Lao Cai from Hanoi by train

20:30 PM: Our tour guide will take you in the centre of Hanoi. Catching the train station B, standing a night in board train to Lao Cai. French people made this train for Vietnam now it’s become one of an oldest train in Asia.

Arrives in Lao Cai, ready to take Fansipan

5:00 to 6:00: Arrives in Lao Cai province, from here we will go by bus and spend 1 hour 30 minutes to go to Sapa.

7:00 to 7:30: The Foggy town- Sapa in your eyes. Begin a new day with a hot breakfast to make yourself warm.

8:30 AM: The bus will take you to Tram Ton Station. It’s belong the part of Hoang Lien Son range. This location have the height is 1,800m. The bus will take you there. Follow the flag of tour guide, we will go by side with the small bamboo forest to reach the Fansipan peak. The atmosphere here are very fresh and cold, don’t forget to bring the jacket. The forest here very thick so the sunshine can’t get through.

12:15 PM: we will stop and having lunch with a mini picnic. This is the time for everyone share ideas or anythings about yourself, the chance to exchange social each others. After that, keep going to the trip to reach the next destination on time.

17:00 PM: After more than four hours to get through the forest, we will stop to make a camp on the height 2,800m. We will help each other to make a tent, burning the fire, prepare everything to have an overnight in the middle of forest. Our chef will prepared the food with local meals with many herbal around the forrest.

19:00 to 22:00: Everything was done, we will together around the burning camp to have dinner with BBQ meeting during the cold weather. We will have an exchange social by dancing, singing, sharing the joy and sorrow. When everyone tired, we will go to sleep and prepare for tomorrow with beautiful scenery.

Reach to the Fansipan peak & Overnight at homestay

6:30 AM: We will wake up then having breakfast and keep going to trek to touch the Fansipan peak (3143m).

10:00 AM: After your effort, you reach the top of Fansipan. Visiting around here to take some of picture about the famous symbol here that you finished your challenge.

11:30 AM: Back to 2,800m having lunch then move to the next destination.

16:00: The bus will lead you to Tram Ton Station then move to the ethnic village. Visiting this place and stand by night at a homestay of local people.

18:30: Enjoying the warm dinner with local people here. They will tell you about their life as well as observing about their lifestyle activity with traditional from many generations.

Discovering the Ta Van Village and Lao Chai Village then back to Hanoi

6:30 AM: Waking up early, having breakfast then breathing the fresh air.

8:15 AM: You will meet a local ethnic people here. They will take you to go around and tell you more story about their traditional activity. They are very friendly. Some place we will visit are rice terrace fields, Y Linh Ho Hamlet, vegetable gardens, etc. All of it are very beautiful and simple.

The landscapes here are very beautiful with many simple things like small house, mini bridge, gardens, children local ethnic are very cute and friendly with visitors. Next, we will go to Lao Chai village then enjoying the mini picnic lunch here.

12:15: Finished lunch, moving to the village and visit the Golden Stream Valley. We will meet the H’mong ethnic people on the way. The big valley here is the home of H’mong people, they grow lots of colorful flowers and plants here. Visiting their to explore more about their lifestyle.

17:30: Having dinner at the homestay then check out. The bus will take you to Lao Cai province to catch the night train back to Hanoi in the early morning of following day. The tour ended.
